Haryana is a state situated in North India whose government decided to digitalise the Treasury billing system. For this reason on the 9 December 2016 it announced a tender to be provided with the PKI infrastructure and the digital signature tokens.

The tender deadline was on the 27 December, so Bit4id immediately started to prepare this tender. Haryana government was very impressed with the experience that Bit4id has in PKI business.

When the tender was over, there were the technical evaluation and the financial bid, with the following meeting with the Finance minister for the financial approval of the project. So on the 19 January 2017 Bit4id was officially confirmed as winner of the tender.

The integration of the applications for treasury department with our 4identity solution went on quickly and finished in March. Last May Bit4id also organised a workshop which was attended by all the treasury officers to train them on signing the bills using the new solution.

Currently, the treasury department of Chandigarh, the capital of state Haryana, is using Bit4id solution to sign all the bills digitally. Starting from August the entire state of Haryana will start using our solution for their treasury department in order to sign all the bills. There are good expectations to extend the new technology to the other states across the country.
