After two days focused on innovation and technology, yesterday the TechnologyBiz 2017 ended.

The event, at its 8th edition, took place in the Palacongressi of the Mostra d’Oltremare and hosted 40 different meetings about digital transformation, companies innovation, Open innovation and so on.

The TBIZ deals with many different issues, so every year it is an important opportunity for interaction for a lot of visitors, professionals, researchers, companies and students.

Besides of conferences and business meetings, this TBIZ edition also hosted Hands-on, the workshop organised by Bit4id. The participants were received in the Foyer where, helped by tutors, they realised a complete web project in few hours.

Hands-on was invented by Bit4id during last June and it has already become an importance reference for students and IT lovers, so it will probably repeat with periodical and thematic appointments.

The aim of the workshop is to give the participants the chance to approach the most modern technologies (often omitted in academic learning) and to live a real practical experience: besides being a formative event, Hands-on is the occasion to apply IT passion and knowledge in a real project.

While the two appointments in June (described in this article) were focused on developing a web app for the remote control of a browser, the theme of the yesterday meeting was Web Design, so the participants realised a website landing page, using innovative technologies as Gulp, Docker and PUG and SASS languages.

What makes Hands-on so different from the other workshops? The fact that it allows to learn and practice in a fun and spontaneous way and it creates an occasion to confront with other people and share with them the same interests.

They say about Hands-on:

“It was very interesting. It opened my mind, at the end of the workshop I have clear ideas about things I considered difficult and that now I want to study in depth.” Nicoletta, graphic designer

“It’s the second time I take part in Hands-on and today I have learned many new things they don’t teach us at university. With the Bit4id workshop I keep up with the latest technologies and I meet people with my same IT passion.” Marco, student

“I liked the workshop in June so I decided to come again…I liked this even more! The theme was so interesting, I made questions and I had fun with the other participants. I would have gone on for hours!” Claudio, student
