The European Union agency for cybersecurity organised an event in Brussels to celebrate its 15-year anniversary together with distinguished guests from the European Commission, the European Parliament and the EU Member States. Bit4id attended the event.

For 15 years, the European Agency for Network and Information Security (ENISA) has played a key role in shaping the EU’s response to the growing cyber threats in the EU. ENISA’s main task is to help the EU and its Member States to improve their cyber resilience and increase trust in the Digital Single Market.

The Cyber Security Act recently voted by the European Parliament will further strengthen the role of ENISA’s by giving it a permanent mandate and increasing its staff and budget.

On 19 March 2019, ENISA celebrated its 15th anniversary at the European Commission Berlaymont building, in Brussels, with the event “Building cybersecurity bridges together: 15 years of ENISA”. Special emphasis was laid on the great progress achieved in these years and the future challenges. Bit4id attended the event represented by its Innovation Strategist Paolo Campegiani.

Alessandro Scognamiglio, Bit4id Marketing Director, stated: “In the next few years, ENISA will play an important role in defining a cybersecurity framework that will also include a new security certification. This and other processes will contribute to the improvement of European cybersecurity and the implementation of the Digital Single Market. About these topics, Bit4id will give its contribution as innovative company in the European IT security field.”
