BRUSSELS, 25th JANUARY 2018 –  EEMA, the leading independent not for profit European think tank focussing on identification, authentication, privacy, risk management, cyber security, the Internet of Things and mobile applications, today announced Bit4id as its latest corporate member.

Bit4id develops easy, secure and homogeneous technologies for authentication, digital signature and cryptography and its Innovation Strategist, Paolo Campegiani comments on why the organisation has joined EEMA:
“We have chosen to join EEMA because we see the digital identity market as a Europe-wide market, where successful initiatives, projects and partners require the cooperation of different actors and players. There is no better talent pool than the one provided by EEMA to achieve these results.”

Bit4id is a partner for the KONFIDO project which focuses on a secure and trusted paradigm for interoperability eHealth services. Campegiani presented the project alongside other H2020 initiatives including LIGHTest and FutureTrust, at EEMA’s ISSE 2017 conference, which took place in Brussels last November.

Chair of EEMA, Jon Shamah, comments: “EEMA is project partner for a number of ongoing EU-projects and we are delighted to give other H2020 project participants, such as Bit4id, a platform to facilitate closer cooperation and collaboration across Europe and progress both their project and own commercial objectives. We are delighted that Bit4id has chosen to become an EEMA member and look forward to their involvement in our programme of work throughout 2018.”

Bit4id and EEMA are both members of the ECSO (European Cyber Security Organization).
