Bit4id is part of the organizing committee of the Association founded in Naples to protect original products from forgery

The scourge of counterfeiting affects many European countries: everyday a big amount of fake goods, mostly proceeding from Southeast Asia, arrives in our ports and is distributed in the entire territory. Clothes, bags, shoes, cosmetics, jewels and toys are the most counterfeited products. Items realized with toxic substances, wrongly assembled and not respecting European Union quality standards.

Besides being harmful to health, fake goods are an economic threat to all those companies respecting production rules and a serious social problem because of the increasing number of frauds, illegal labour and child exploitation. In order to report illegal activities and to sensitize public opinion about legality and security values, in 2015 the Associazione del Museo del Vero e del Falso was founded in Naples.

The Association

The collaboration between companies, institutions and law enforcement authorities resulted in the creation of the Associazione del Museo del Vero e del Falso, which aims to prove the importance of authenticity and the damages caused by counterfeiting. It is a no profit association founded and managed by companies involved in the national and international market.

The main purpose of the association is to create a real Museum against counterfeiting, a place to promote legality and fight unfair competition. Always struggling against forgeries, the association also organizes exhibitions to explain how to recognize fake goods.

A shared mission

Bit4id joined the Associazione del Museo del Vero e del Falso to contribute to the fight against counterfeiting. It is important to ensure the authenticity of any product and good: Bit4id makes it possible with supply chain traceability systems and identification and security systems, developed in its laboratory or in collaboration with university research institutes.

Bit4id supports the other companies of the Association to achieve the same goal, preventing illegal practices and safeguarding Italian productions in the national and international market.
